Greetings,
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has been the foremost topic on my mind this week, and I’ve been thinking of little else.
The dream that major conflict in Europe would never erupt again has been shattered.
In spite of the darkness of war, I’ve found myself inspired both by the fearlessness of the Ukrainian people who have bravely defended their country, as well as the thousands of Russian anti-war protestors who have risked imprisonment to speak out against Putin’s war of choice.
As I’ve reflected on these horrific events, I’ve wondered “What can I do to help?”
I initially found myself in analysis paralysis, wondering if there was anything I even could do, and if so, would it even have an impact?
If I donate funds, could that information be leaked to Russia at some point, where they could take punitive action against me?
I’ve since decided I’m going to take whatever action I can, knowing it may be imperfect or of little impact. There’s no point in having freedom without using it to stand up for your principles.
Therefore, here’s what I’ve done thus far
Donated funds via Bitcoin to the Ukrainian people.
I’ve re-directed Russian traffic from all websites I control to this webpage. This site shares a collection of global news sources and is intended to counter the propaganda levied toward Russian citizens.
All websites I control now include this widget in the lower right prompting visitors with ways they can help stop the war.
If you’re interested in how you can help, check out this webpage below.
I’d love to hear any ideas you have as well.
Thanks for reading and talk to you next time.
Best,
Isaac
